US Under Cyber Attack: Important Information At Risk-Read

The massive cyber attack in the history of the United States has been revealed in which several important national institutions were monitored for 9 months.

According to US media reports, the cyber-attack began in March of this year and the systems of the Department of Finance and the Department of Commerce, including the Department of Energy, which manages nuclear weapons, were hacked.

The hackers hacked US companies and targeted Microsoft software, which provides services to them. U.S. intelligence agencies have launched an investigation into the cyber attack. According to reports, the attack was so serious that an emergency meeting was held at the White House to deal with the situation.

The U.S. Department of Energy says the security of nuclear weapons has not been affected, but hackers have long had access to the data and communications of other organizations.

US media initially said the attack was the work of a state group but did not name any country. Russia has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating “Similar, baseless allegations concerning Russia’s intelligence have been made more than once.

US Energy Department Spokeswoman Shaylyn Hynes said once the department identified its vulnerable software, “immediate action was taken to mitigate the risk, and all software identified as being vulnerable to this attack was disconnected from the DOE network.”
