Lahore: With the entry of Siberian winds in Pakistan, a severe cold wave has started across the country. There is fog everywhere in different parts of Punjab including Lahore.
The Meteorological Department has said that the recent cold spell across Pakistan will continue till mid-January next year. Areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Northern Areas, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan will be in the grip of severe cold.
This series of Siberian winds have also entered Karachi, there has also been a wave of severe cold. According to the temperature recorded today, the temperature in Shar-e-Quaid is 7 degrees. In Balochistan, on the other hand, people are facing a severe shortage of gas due to severe cold. People are forced to burn wood.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cold and dry on Friday. The situation will remain the same in the northern regions and Balochistan. The plains of Punjab and Upper Sindh will be shrouded in a heavy fog.
