ISLAMABAD: Former Indian Test cricketer and prominent political leader Navjot Singh Sadhu has accepted an invitation to visit Pakistan on the sidelines of the proposed International Kabaddi Championships.
During the ceremony held in Islamabad, General Secretary of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Rana Sarwar said that Kabaddi events are still closed at the national and international level, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation will soon launch national and international competitions, upcoming Asia and Kabaddi. World Cups have been allotted to Pakistan, Kabaddi event has also been included in SAFE Games.
Rana Sarwar said that Nankana Sahib International Kabaddi Tournament and Kartarpur Corridor will have competitions between India and Pakistan. On a daily basis, both teams will compete there. Leading cricketer Sadhu will also come with the Indian team. The Indian team will return to their homeland and then return the next day. Matters have been settled in the Kabaddi federations of both countries. The Pakistan Kabaddi Federation is facing severe financial difficulties. The government and multinational organizations are requested to sponsor the traditional game. The budget of the Indian Pro Kabaddi League is Rs 8,000 crore.
