Details of the Prime Minister’s House expenses have come to light.
According to details, a meeting of spokespersons was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
It was informed in the meeting of party spokespersons that crores of rupees have been saved in terms of expenditure in the Prime Minister’s Office and the Prime Minister’s House. The Prime Minister has managed to reduce the expenditure by 49% in difficult economic conditions.
The Prime Minister did not give any gifts or cash awards at his discretion. At present, the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House has been reduced to Rs 180 million.
It may be recalled that the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House in 2018 was Rs 509 million. And that of the Prime Minister’s Office was Rs 514 million. The reduction was Rs 305 million.
The Prime Minister was also briefed on the expenditure incurred by the former chiefs on foreign trips. It was informed that Yousuf Raza Gilani made 48 visits of which Rs 572 million was spent from the national exchequer.
Pervez Musharaf flew 107 million in 9 tours, Nawaz Sharif made 92 foreign tours and spent 1.8 billion rupees, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi spent 260 million rupees in 19 tours.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan‘s two foreign trips cost Rs 176 million. While the Prime Minister saved crores of rupees without having a camp office.
